🩶🐾 FOSTER OR ADOPT DUKE 🩶🐾 We received a surrender request for this stunning guy. Everyone meet Duke, a 3 year old male silver lab! We’re looking for a foster or adopter for him before he can become a Jax’s dog. Here’s info about Duke: Hello, my name is Duke, and I am a stunning 3-year-old silver Labrador Retriever. With my tall, lean build, I proudly carry my 80 pounds everywhere I go. But don’t let my size fool you; I am a gentle giant with a heart full of love and curiosity. An adventurous soul, I am always up for exploring the great outdoors and discovering new sights and smells. My playful and energetic nature makes me the perfect companion for an active family who enjoys spending time in nature as much as I do. I may be a bit strong on the leash, but with some training, we can embark on countless adventures together. In my current home, I live with two teenagers and a small dog, and I absolutely adore them! I get along well with other dogs, but due to my size, I would be happiest with older children or teens. I haven’t had the chance to meet many young kids yet, but I’m a friendly and affectionate guy, so I’m sure we’d get along swimmingly with proper introductions. Not only am I a looker, but I’m also brave and smart. I know some basic commands, and I’m always eager to learn more. I’m a people-pleaser at heart, so teaching me new tricks and good manners will be a breeze. Plus, it’s a great way to bond with my new family! That’s right, our beautiful senior lady Pearl! She’s as sweet as they come! Pearl, who is 10.5 years old (she’ll be 11 on 7/2), joined the Jax’s family about 2.5 months ago after being surrendered by her dad because of his health issues. Pearl has some health issues of her own. When she was younger she had a CCL rupture and because of that she has a plate in her left hip. She also has a partial ACL tear in her right leg from a couple years ago that was too small for surgical repair so she has a slight limp. We had her seen by our orthopedic vet and we’ve all agreed that due to her age and how well she gets around that we won’t put her through any surgeries. Those injuries have also caused osteoarthritis and she’s on anti-inflammatories for that. She also has a hooded vulva and, even though she’s spayed, she experiences some urinary leakage but it’s controlled with medication. Don’t let her age or physical ailments fool you…she still gets around pretty well, loves to play with her balls and toys, and take walks! Pearl can only do a few steps so she’s looking for a ranch style home, or someone who’s bedroom is on the main floor, so she’s not left alone downstairs at night when her family goes to bed. To be considered a possible match for Pearl, the first step is the adoption application which you can find here: https://jlrrescue.org/adoption-application/ Our adoption area is within 1 hour of Warrington, Bucks County, PA so please respect that. We’re a small rescue with limited volunteers. If you’re not sure if you’re within an hour, just map it. Jax

Jax
Jax (pronounced “Jack”) is a 5 year old mix and an absolute sweetheart! Jax does not jump at people or dogs and is trained to sit. He will gently take a treat from you and will place his paw on you while gazing into your eyes to be pet. Jax is good with strangers and walks well on a leash. He very much enjoys being outside and loves to take car rides. Jax is not fond of cats so he needs a home without them. Jax is an all-around great dog and would easily acclimate to any family.

Pearl
While Pearl has been around other dogs in her lifetime, she’s always been the only dog at home so she deserves to spend the rest of her golden years as the only fur child and continue being treated as the queen 👑 she is! She’s easy going and she’d make a great companion!
